Fired by pop culture, social injustice, and street art, Kasia’s paintings are a spicy and dark commixture of emotion, beauty and outrage that are created to evoke her audience to “think”. While working at the Student Union Art Gallery at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Kasia was first inspired to address problems of post modern consumer society and its materialistic view of human beings through her own work. Using primarily spray paint and acrylics as her media, Kasia gives her paintings an urban feeling while shedding light on topics construed by the media as “glamorous” that are realistically tumultuous and complicated.
